Coach Debbie
With over three decades of experience, Debbie Klatt has established herself as a seasoned power skating instructor, collaborating with numerous teams and organizations throughout Alberta. Certified as a Can Power Skating Instructor and holding NCCP level 1 certifications in both technical and theory aspects, Debbie brings a dedicated approach to youth instruction, integrating the latest proven skating techniques into her teaching methodology. Her power skating program, spearheaded by Debbie Klatt, is tailored to enhance player development progressively, focusing on improving balance, power, edge control, flexibility, agility, explosive quickness, and conditioning.
Coach Abby
Abby, a seasoned ringette player with two decades of experience, boasts an impressive journey in the sport. Her grit led her team to victory in the U12A provincials in 2012 and earned her a spot in Mission AA from U14 to U19, excelling even in her first year. She proudly represented Zone 5 AA for a season, clinching gold in the Alberta Winter Games in 2016 and silver in 2018. Abby, not just an athlete, also holds a paralegal diploma with honors earned in 2023, now applying her skills at a law firm while concurrently sharing her expertise by teaching skating for nearly a decade. With nine years of experience as a ringette referee and currently serving as the Director of Officiating and Officiating Development for Spruce Grove Ringette, Abby is deeply ingrained in the sport's administrative aspects. Additionally, she juggles administrative responsibilities for her mother's company.
Coach Adrienne
Adrienne is a highly experienced educator and sports enthusiast with a diverse background in hockey and ringette. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has contributed to various organizations such as the Debbie Klatt Fall Power Skating School, ProStride Hockey, and the Donna Stewart Fall Power Skating School. Adrienne's passion for athletics extends to her involvement with hockey and ringette associations including St. Albert Minor Hockey Association, Knights of Columbus Minor Hockey Association, St. Albert Ringette Association, Sherwood Park Ringette Association, and Morinville Minor Hockey. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta and boasts an impressive 22-year career playing hockey, currently active in NAFHA and CCRHL leagues, while also enjoying 7 years of playing ringette.
Coach Elizabeth
Elizabeth, an experienced power skating instructor with over 15 years of teaching under her belt, has enriched the skills of numerous students across summer camps, hockey academies, and diverse teams. Graduating from the University of Alberta in 2018 with a BSC in Kinesiology, she channels her expertise in human kinetics to enhance children's skating abilities. Furthering her education with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2020, she now imparts her knowledge to a wide range of learners in a school environment, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to enhance your child's skating skills!
Coach Britt
Brittney's passion for ringette spans 15 years, during which she not only played competitively but also dedicated herself to coaching ringette teams and power skating since the age of 14. As a CI Certified coach, she brings a wealth of expertise and leadership, having represented Canada while playing ringette in Finland and being the elected captain for Team Alberta U19A Westerns. Brittney's exceptional ability to communicate complex skills to young athletes has made her a standout instructor, facilitating understanding and growth in her athletes. Graduating with a BBA in Marketing from NAIT, she now channels her skills into the dynamic field of influencer and social media marketing. She even created this website!
Coach Alice
Alice is deeply entrenched in the world of ringette, having dedicated her life to both playing and coaching the sport for a remarkable 18 years. Currently pursuing a combined Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Elementary Education Degree at the University of Alberta, she channels her passion for athletics into her academic pursuits. She has certifications such as CI Certified coach and a wealth of coaching experience at various levels, including head coaching positions for U14A, U16A, and U19A teams. Her leadership extends beyond the rink as she serves as a mentor coach in the St. Albert Ringette Supplemental Coach program and as a lead instructor in the St. Albert Ringette Powerskating/Development program, showcasing her dedication to the sport's development at all levels.
Coach Melissa
Melissa is a dedicated Grade 4 & 5 teacher and a highly accomplished hockey player with an impressive career spanning various levels of competition. From her successful stints with teams like St. Albert U15 AAA Raiders and Colgate University Raiders to her accolades including top scorer in the AMMFHL and Gold Medalist at the Canada Winter Games, Melissa has consistently excelled on the ice. Alongside her teaching career, she shares her passion for hockey through coaching roles at St. Albert Public Schools Hockey Academy and various elite female teams, demonstrating her commitment to both education and athletic development.
Coach Josh
Josh is a dedicated educator and sports enthusiast whose passion for hockey and teaching has defined his career path. Growing up in St. Albert, he honed his skills playing minor hockey with the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association, competing at both the AA and AAA levels with the Raiders Club. For over 15 years, Josh has contributed as an assistant power skating instructor, collaborating with industry leaders Debbie and Donna to mentor young hockey players and enhance their on-ice abilities. His academic journey led him to earn a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Alberta in 2017, specializing in Coaching and Sport Performance, followed by a Bachelor of Education after-degree from King’s University in 2020. Currently employed as a teacher with St. Albert Public Schools, Josh is dedicated to both elementary and secondary education, while concurrently pursuing further studies towards his aspiration of becoming a counselor.
